Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
1 head fresh garlic
4 sprigs fresh thyme
2 tsp olive oil
Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
Supplies:
Aluminum Foil
Wax Paper
Cooking Spray
How-To:
1. Preheat oven to 400 fahrenheit.
2. Chop off top of garlic and peel. Place garlic over a small amount of aluminum foil, then cover the whole top of the head of garlic with olive oil.
3. Tightly wrap head of garlic in aluminium foil and roast for 40 minutes, until fragrant.
4. While garlic is roasting, coarsely chop the fresh thyme and put aside.
5. Unwrap the foil and allow garlic to cool; then, squeeze out individual cloves and coarsely chop.
6. In a small/medium mixing bowl, soften a stick of butter in the microwave (don't melt!).
7. Mix together butter, thyme, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
8. Lay out a large portion of wax paper, spray with a very small amount of non-stick cooking spray, and transfer butter mixture to the wax paper.
9. Shape the butter into a cylinder, and roll up in the wax paper to make a log. Twist both ends to seal, and put in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to cool and harden.
Enjoy!
